Lily's 1st Thanksgiving

We hosted Thanksgiving at our house this year and had about 15 people over. We had a great time with family and friends and yummy food. Then Friday we did a little shopping, got the house decorated for Christmas and then went to Coeur d' Alene for the parade, fireworks and tree lighting. We meet some friends and had a great time. Lily liked the parade except for a big truck that kept honking his horn. Lily would freak out, start crying and bury her head in my neck. Over all it has been a great Thanksgiving day brake and we still have 2 days left until we have to go back to work.

Happy Late 10 month Birthday

Last Monday I, Lilyann Kelly Still turned 10 months old. Here are some of my favorite things:

1. Going up the stairs, especially when they are not blocked.
2. Savannah's baby doll.
3. Using mommy and daddy as a jungle gym.
4. Walking along the furniture.
5. Playing with my bed time book.
6. Having daddy make me giggle.
7. Pushing the animals down on my pop-up school bus.
8. Waving bye-bye and sometimes saying it. bybybybybyby
9. Jabbering in the car and everywhere else.
10. Getting things I know I shouldn't have like the remote and touching the buttons on the tv.

Here are some things I, Lilyann Kelly Still don't like:

1. Getting dressed for bed.
2. Sitting in the grass.
3. When daddy dresses as the Moose mascot for school.
4. Having to wear mittens and put on a coat.
5. Monday mornings when mom leaves me after 2 whole days together.
6. When mommy and daddy take my finger out of my nose and sat NO NO.

Over all I am a very happy and easy going baby. Although I am a tiny little thing I am growing and very healthy. In 2 months I am going to be 1 year old. Mommy can't beileve I am already this big.

The phone call no parent wants!!!

Today about 1:15 I received a phone call from Karri, Lily's babysitter. The first words out of her mouth were "Okay, don't panic." So right there I new something was wrong. Then she tells me that Lily got a Lego stuck in her throat and the ambulance is on its way. She told me that she finally got it out but there was some blood. By this point I am crying and freaking out. I tell her I will be right there. I called the office and the Secretary came down to watch my class. I ran down to Corey's room and told him what happened. The councilor took Corey's class and we ran down the hall to leave. We got to Karri's house and the fireman were there. They told us she was alright and Lily met us with a smile. They told us they could take her to the hospital but it wasn't necessary we just needed to go see the pediatrician and have her throat checked. So after they left Karri told us that the older kids had been playing with Legos yesterday while Lily was sleeping. They are supposed to keep them on a blanket but 1 little one had found its way to the carpet. Karri went to put her bottle in the sink and say Lily with the Lego. She told her no and then Lily put it in her mouth. Karri went right over to her and tried to scoop it out of her mouth with her finger. Lily swatted Karri's hand away and then took a breath which caused the Lego to go into her throat. Karri called 911 and then took her to the sink. She tried again to scoop it out of her throat but couldn't. So she held her over the sink and swatted her on the back and Lily pucked up the Lego and some blood. The good news is Lily is just fine. She was breathing the whole time and there is no damage done. Karri reacted perfectly and I know my daughter is in good hands. This is a phone call that I do not wish on any parent.

AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

I think the Kindergarden teachers wanted to give me a nervous break down this year. They decided to give me 3 really hard ADHD boys. Today one of them came to school without his meds and had a terrible day. From refusing to do anything, to crawling under the table, refusing to talk to me or to walk, swinging his backpack around to strangling another student. Then one of my other little guys throughs a temper tantrum when ever he doesn't get his way which is about every 5-10 minutes. And my other little guy can not sit or be quiet for 2 seconds. Then my special ed girl is loosing her one-on-one aid. Sorry for the complaining but it has been one
H_ _ _ of a day.

9 months old

Lily turned 9 months on Saturday. She is crawling every where and into everything. She has toys all over the floor but she wants the remote, the phone and anything else we tell her no. She is walking along the furniture and crawling up the staris. We are getting the kinks of daycare worked out, but leaving her everyday is still the hardest thing I have ever had to do. My little girl is gabbering away and growing like a weed.

Stairs, really?

So Corey I went over to some friends house tonight to watch a movie and hangout. We were all in the living room and Lily was crawling around. She went straight for the 2 little stairs they have and with out any hesitation up she went. Corey and I looked at each like "did she just do that?". Then all night she kept wanting to go back to the stairs. She has not even attempted the 2 stairs in our living room. But now I will be more careful and we may need another gate. Another accomplishment by my AMAZING daughter.
