5 years

Today is mine and Corey's 5th year anniversary. I cna't beleive that it has been 5 years already. I am so lucky to have such an amazing husband. We couldn't find a babysitter tonight so we are going out to dinner with Lily and then we will watch a movie at home. It doesn't matter what we do as long as we are together.

Honey I love you and thank you for loving me so much. You always make me feel so special and loved. I look forward to many more years with you.

1st tooth

While we were at the lake this week Lily started cutting her first tooth. When Corey and I first felt it we couldn't believe it because she hadn't been crabby at all. She had a runny nose and was drooling alot. Then that night she woke up at 1:30 with a temp. of 101. I gave her some Tylenol and some medicine for her tooth but she still woke up about every 2 hrs. In the morning her temp. was down to 100 then through out the day it fell to about 99.6. She stayed at about 99.2 through the night and again woke up about every 2 hrs. Finally the fever broke. You can see her little tooth popping through the bottom gums. She is still very drooly and has a runny nose but she is a trooper.

7 month Lily update

On Sunday July 12th Lily turned 7 months. She has grown up so much in this last month. She sits up on her own and rocks forward now like she wants to crawl. She can stand up on her own if she is hanging on to something. At 6 months we introduced baby food. So now she nurses 5 times a day and twice a day she also gets rice cereal and baby food. So far she has had peas, carrots, sweet potatoes and next week we will introduce green beans (although these are hard to find in the organic baby foods). Lily is such a happy baby. Every where we go she just smiles and babbles at people. She rarely crys, but when she does she wants mommy. Which I love, but I also feel bad for Corey. She started saying mamamamama and then on the ride home from Seaside she started saying dadadadada (I love that she said mama first!). She reaches for everything and EVERYTHING goes in her mouth. We don't have any teeth yet but I know it will be coming soon. I am so thankful now that I took the time to get her on a good sleeping pattern. She takes 3 naps a day and goes to bed at 9pm and wakes up at 7-7:30am. She goes straight down in her crib with a little 1-2 minute whine and then she is out with no help from a pacifier, music, rocking or any thing else. I am so proud of my little girl for learning how to sleep on her own. Now she rolls all over her crib and I find her turned around or on her tummy or side now. I am just amazed by how much she has learned and how fast everything is going. I am soaking up as much Lily time as I can because school just keeps getting closer and closer.

Seaside

Corey, Lily and I just got back from a great trip in Seaside, Oregon. We met our friends Matt and Leslie from Nampa and had a blast with them and their 2 kids. Here are some of the things we enjoyed.

~Spending time with friends we don't get to see anymore.

~Watching Jazlyn play with Lily, read to Lily and help me dress and feed her.

~Playing in the ocean and sand.

~Playing bocce ball by the ocean and searching for shells.

~Enjoying the tide pools full of starfish, sea cucumbers, crabs and other creatures from the sea.

~Learning how to geo cach and finding a new hobbie for Corey, myself and our children.

~Eating yummy cheese in Tillamock, saltwater taffy and seafood in Seaside.

~Playing in the pool with Lily and watching her enjoy the other children playing around her.

~Playing Racko over and over again.

~Having a wonderful daughter who just goes with the flow, even when her naps and eating schedule got off track she was still my smily, happy little girl.

Although we had a great time it is good to be home and we now look forward to Corey's sister and her families visit next week.

Home Sweet Home

It is always good to be home. To sleep in my bed and use my pillow. New clothes to wear and projects to do. Since coming home Corey has golfed twice and I have removed all of Lily's 3-6 month clothes and got out the 6-9 month. I made a set of letters for my sisters friend Melissa who had a girl she named Lillian. Now we are packing again to head for the lake. My favorite place to relax and just enjoy the sun. I am interested to see how Lily likes the lake water and the sand. We are also going to start on her first baby food peas. She is still having some trouble with the cereal. She likes to spit it at me and talks the whole time I try to feed her. Maybe she will like the veggies better.

Here are the rest of our pictures from North Dakota.

New faith in Delta

Since our terrible trouble with Delta I sent a complaint in. I waited and waited and didn't hear anything. So yesterday I decided to send it again. Today I received an e-mail apologizing for the way we were treated and I also received a voucher for Corey and I. This made me feel a lot better about Delta. We will now give them another try.

Corey and i are ready to get home. It has been a good trip but we are tired of our cloths since we only packed for a 6 day trip not a 17 day trip. I am ready to have my bed and my pillow. Be able to go do things when and were we want since we don't have a car here we are kind of stuck in the house. Lily has changed so much in the last few weeks. She is sitting up, eating cereal, starting to wave and so adorable as always. My mom and sister will be so surprised by how much she has changed since they last saw her.
